Harbour View beat Tivoli in Monday night RSPL

Former champions Harbour View continued their recent resurgence in the Red Stripe Premier League with a 2 -1 win over Tivoli Gardens in the second game of a double header at the National Stadium as Monday night action resumed.

Former national player Jermaine Johnson gave Tivoli a 6th minute lead before another former national player Luton Shelton equalized for Harbour view in the 42nd minute. The “Stars of the East” sealed all three points courtesy of  Kemar Bennet who converted in the 63rd minute. Harbour View are 8th on 27 points while Tivoli are third.

Meanwhile, Humble Lion scored a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Boys’ Town in the evening's opener. Rafiek Thomas gave Boys’ Town the lead in the 8th minute but that was cancelled out in the 24th by Jermaine Christian.

Humble Lion then went ahead in the 35th minute through Ricardo Dennis.

UWI FC and title holders Montego Bay United are out-front on 43 points each with UWI have a better goal difference.

They are followed by Tivoli and Humble Lion on 42 each, with Portmore United and Arnett Gardens completing the top six on 40 and 34 points respectively.
