Jamaica 39 runs ahead of Barbados... Windwards lead T&T by 196

Jamaica's captain Tamar Lambert saved his best knock for the season's finale, with a magnificent century of 121 runs as Jamaica snatched a first innings lead of 57 runs over Barbados on day-2 of the WICB Regional 4-day Challenge semi-final at Kensington Oval.

Resuming on 52-1, Lambert was involved in five partnerships, but none more productive and vital than the 114 runs he added for the 7th wicket with Dave Bernard Jr 42. Jeremain Blackwood made 37 against Sulieman Benn 5-102 while there were two wickets each for Fidel Edwards and Ashley Nurse.

By the close, Barbados were 18-1 , Omar Phillips sent back for 2 off the bowling of Sheldon Cotterell, 1-7.

Scores: Barbados 245 and 18-1; Jamaica 302.

Meanwhile at Queen's Park Oval, The Windward Islands continued their dominance over Trinidad & Tobago, leading by 196 runs despite a sporting declaration by T&T's Denesh Ramdin who is backing his team to chase successfully batting a second time.
