Jamaica Under-17s will have home advantage in world cup bid

Jamaica's Under-17 footballers will have the benefit of home advantage as they begin their quest for World Cup Qualification.

Jamaica was confirmed as host of one of five groups for the CFU Qualifiers, which run from August 21-28  at the Tony Spaulding Complex in Arnett Gardens.

The young Reggae Boyz will have to contend with challenges from the US Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe and the Cayman Islands.

Jamaica will open their campaign against the U.S Virgin Islands on Saturday (August 23) at 7:00 pm, after Guadeloupe and Cayman meet in the curtain raiser at 4p.m.

The group winner will advance to the final round of the qualifiers, which will take place in Haiti in September.
