Mattocks moves from Vancouver to Portland in MLS

RJR Sports understands that national striker Darren Mattocks could be joining US franchise Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer for the new season which kicked off last Sunday. The 25 year old has reportedly parted ways with the Vancouver Whitecaps after four seasons.

He was a standout performer for the Canadian-based Franchise during his rookie season but has since failed to live up to his promise. In his 96 appearances for Vancouver, Mattocks has only scored 20 goals.

There were also reports linking him with a move to China, but those talks did not materialise.
