Mild upset in main event at Caymanas Park

Commentary by Track Announcer Brian Rickman

The 5 year old chestnut mare Harry's Train with Dane Dawkins riding for trainer Ian Parsard, captured the Overnight Allowance contest for 3 year olds and up over 5-and-a-half furlongs at Caymanas Park on Saturday. The event which was the major attraction on the 10-race card, saw Harry's Train almost making it a gate to wire affair to win by three-quarters of a length in a minute and six seconds flat.

Harry's Train closed a double for trainer Parsard, while there were also two wins for champion trainer Anthony "Baba" Nunes as well as 3-time former champion jockey Dane Nelson and visiting Canadian-based Barbadian rider Simon Husbands. The meet was once again conducted without spectators as the promoting company Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) implements Government restrictions to guard against the spread of the Covid 19 coronavirus.
