President of Netball Jamaica Dr Paula Daley-Morris on Fridat told RJR Sports that her executive voted 10-0 not to accept the resignation of nantional co-coach Sahser-Gaye Henry. This after Henry submitted her resignation to the secretariat last week. “We are not accepting her resignation because we think that there are other routes we can take that will be for the good of the sport” said Daley-Morris.
In a statement to the media on Thursday, coach Henry indicated that her resignation centered around the personal needs of her family and her increasing concerns about continuing professional weaknesses in the administration of the sport. The Netball Jamaica boss says the board has agreed to deal with those weaknesses.
Daley-Morris was also pressed for clarity on whether Henry has agreed to withdraw her resignation. “She is aware of the decision that we would not accept her resignation. We consulted with her and she’s quite aware of the decision,” said Daley-Morris. Efforts to reach Henry were unsuccessful.
