Rovman Powell, only Jamaican named in Windies ODI squad

Only one Jamaican has been named in the West Indies 15-man training squad preparing for the three match One Day International Series against England in the Caribbean from March 3 - 9.

All-rounder Rovman Powell is the lone Jamaican to be included in the squad which features nine players from regional Super50 champions Barbados Pride, including captain Jason Holder.

Jamaican Marlon Samuels who featured in the Windies squad for their tour against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates late last year, has not been included in the squad.

The full squad is captain Jason Holder, Devendra Bishoo, Carlos Brathwaite, Kraigg Brathwaite, Jonathan Carter, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Kieran Powell and Rovman Powell.

The first match between the West Indies and England will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on March 3.
