SFP returns from injury

Two time Olympic 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and veteran sprinter Asafa Powell headline seven Jamaicans down to compete at the Pre Fontaine Eugene Diamond League meet in Oregon, USA on Saturday.

Fraser-Pryce, who is nursing a toe injury, is down to contest the women's 100 metres, while Powell will line up in the men's race where he will battle Americans Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, and Mike Rodgers as well as Canadian Andre DeGrasse and world leader Femi Ogunode of Qatar.

Elaine Thompson will clash with Dutch star Daphne Schippers and Americans Tori Bowie and Kim Duncan in the 200 metres.

Rusheen McDonald will test his mettle against American Lashawan Merritt in the men's 400 metres.

World Championship bronze medallist Shericka Jackson and Stephanie-Ann McPherson will line up in the women's equivalent.

World Championship bronze medallist Odayne Richards will also contest the men's shot put while Simone Facey, the red-hot Omar McLeod and Hansle Parchment are the other Jamaicans down to compete.
