Sunshine Girl Beckford on fire from super shot range in Suncorp League

Sunshine Girl Shanice Beckford was brilliant from super shot range for the West Coast Fever in round 4 of the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia over the weekend.

Beckford converted 6 super shots from as many attempts, while fellow Sunshine Girl Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard scored 59 goals from 60 attempts in leading the fever to a comfortable 75-59 win over the New South Swifts.

Elsewhere, Romelda Aiken-George scored 29 goals from 35 attempts, as defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds beat the Giants 69-49, while another Sunshine Girl, Shimona Jok, formerly Nelson, converted 35 goals from 36 attempts for the Melbourne Mavericks to clip Sunshine Coast Lightning 65-64 in a nail-biting contest.

West Coast Fever and Melbourne Vixens are joint leaders on maximum 16 points from 4 games, with the Thunderbirds next on 12 points also from 4 matches.
