Tulane dominant in NCAA Preseason win in MoBay

Tulane University never took their feet off the pedal, and easily dispatched of Colorado State University 80-53  at the Montego Bay Convention Centre Friday night, in the NCAA Preseason Jamaica Classic Basketball tournament.

Tulane were led by  Cameron Reynolds with 24 points and 4 rebounds, while Marvin Frazier poured in 23 points and added 5 rebounds. For Colorado State, Che Bob scored 15 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

Tulane is coached by former NBA head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr.

In the second of the "A" games, Florida State  beat Fordham University 67-43. Mfiondu Kabengele scored 15 points and held 9 rebounds off the bench for Florida State, while Terrence Mann shot 14 points. For Fordham, Will Tavares scored 18 points in the losing effort.

In the "B" game, Miami of Ohio just got by  LIU of Brooklyn 78-74 led by Rod Mills 19 points and 6 rebounds. Joel Hernandez 25 points and 9 rebounds got most for LIU.

On Saturday (November 18), LIU tips off against Hartford of Connecticut at 5:30p.m. in the lone encounter.

The champions will be crowned Sunday night after the triple header in the round robin tournament. Seven teams are visiting from the United States NCAA system.
