VCB gets ready for World Championships

Two-time olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown completed the sprint double, while Asafa Powell and Omar McLeod also scored wins at the Atlanta leg of the American Track League Saturday night.

The 33 year old Campbell-Brown won the 100m in 11.22 before capturing the 200m in 22.82 as she fine tuned her preparation for the Aug 22-30 World championship in Beijing, China.

Two-time world 100m bronze medallist Asafa Powell failed to dip below 10 seconds for an eighth time this year, but still won the event in 10.01 seconds.

National sprint hurdles champion Omar McLeod, returned from a hamstring niggle to win the obstacle event in 13.28 ahead of compatriot Andrew Riley.
