Windies face massive task to save second test against Pakistan

Caribbean fans will be hoping that Jamaican Jermaine Blackwood and ‘Bajan’ Roston Chase can pull off the improbable, as the West Indies pursue a further 285 runs for victory on the final day of the second test against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.

The Windies ended Monday’s penultimate day on 171-4 with Blackwood on 41 and Chase on 17, after opener Kraigg Brathwaite made a top score of 67.

Earlier, Pakistan made 227-2 declared, led by 79 from opener Azar Ali and 58 not out from Asad Shafiq. Shannon Gabriel and Miguel Cummins were the wicket-takers for the West Indies.

Scores in the match so far: Pakistan 452 and 227-2 declared; the West Indies 224 and 171-4. The West Indies trail the three-match series 1-0.
