The Trinidadian government has said its students in Jamaica and Barbados who wish to return home will have to spend 14 days in quarantine before being allowed to board a special Caribbean Airlines flight.
Speaking at the daily news conference on Monday, National Security Minister Stuart Young said he has been receiving requests from nationals in several cities across the world to return home.
He said he has been in discussions with the principals of the University of the West Indies campuses in Barbados and Jamaica regarding Trinidadian students.
Mr. Young said the government is looking at arranging a flight for those students for the first week of June.
He said when the students arrive in Trinidad and Tobago they will be put in state quarantine for a further 14 days.
