Burke to ply trade overseas once again

Sidelined national striker Cory Burke is set to return to professional football. RJR Sports understands that the 28 old year is on his way to Europe. According to our source, Burke will join Austrian topflight club SKN St Polten on loan for the rest of the season from MLS outfit Philadelphia Union, who still owns his contractual rights.

St Polten, the 2016 Austrian champions, are currently 9th in the 12 team table with 15 points, three more than the bottom placed team and 29 behind leaders Red Bull Salzburg. Burke, who up until Sunday represented Portmore United in the Red Stripe Premier League, will leave the island on the weekend to join his new team mates.

Burke has scored 11 times this season for Portmore United, one less than leader Dean Andre Thomas of Dunbeholden.
