Only one local coach has shown an interest in the position of national senior netball coach following the deadline for applications on Friday. The Sunshine Girls have been without a head coach since the resignation of Minneth Reynolds late last year. President of Netball Jamaica Dr Paula Daley-Morris says a decision on the final candidate is expected shortly.
“We received three applications and at the moment we are processing those applications. I have to wait on the committee (to reveal more details); they are meeting shortly and so as soon as more information is available, we’ll make it available to you,” said Dr Daley-Morris.
Dr Daley-Morris would not reveal however the names or gender of the three applicants but RJR Sports has learnt that the three applicants comprise one Jamaican coach and two foreigners including a female from England who presently lives in Jamaica.
